Gift of Time (GOT) Respite Cooperative Program
Clermont DD has incorporated the Gift of Time Respite Cooperative Program into its many valuable and outreach-focused services. The “co-op” is built on the idea of families helping families.
Participating families and caregivers become respite members and volunteer their time. In return, they earn respite points, which can be used for future respite support.
Individuals who are eligible for Clermont DD services, along with their siblings, may attend respite events.
How It Works
- Respite events are held twice per month
- Caregivers use this time to run errands, grocery shop, or spend time with others in the household
- Time is the only “cost” of participation
Funding
The GOT Respite Cooperative is funded through Clermont DD’s annual fundraisers, as well as grants, foundations, and other community fundraising efforts.
Time is your only expense.
