The Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities is dedicated to helping individuals and families expand their capabilities and navigate life’s possibilities. We envision inclusive communities where people with developmental disabilities thrive, make informed choices, and live life on their own terms. Guided by dignity, respect, and personal choice, we empower individuals and families to partner with professionals, take reasonable risks, and direct how, where, and from whom they receive services.

Individuals and families have the right to make informed decisions regarding what services they receive, how services are delivered, and where supports are provided. About Our Board Members
The Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Wildey Center (2040 US Highway 50, Batavia, OH 45103). There will be no meetings in July or November. The December meeting will be the second Thursday of the month due to holidays.

Our Location
The Thomas A. Wildey Center is located at 2040 US Highway 50 in Batavia, Ohio, one mile west of Owensville. This facility serves as a central hub for many of the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ programs and services, including Behavioral Health Services, Business and Fiscal Operations, Community Relations, Community Support Services, Early Intervention (including Service Coordination and Hearing Services), Facilities and Maintenance, Human Resources, Investigations, School Age Services, Service and Support Administration, and the Superintendent’s Office. An individual, parent of a minor, or guardian may appeal a termination, reduction, approval or a change in service by CBDD authorized. When a timely appeal is requested, the current service in question shall continue to be provided pending final resolution.
An appeal must be requested with ODJFS within 90 days of a denial or proposed action.
Appeals may be submitted by mail or email to ODJFS.
Services will continue until the appeal process is complete if the request is submitted on time.
A county conference with CBDD can be requested before or after filing a hearing with ODJFS to try resolving the issue.
Appeal of an Adverse Action or Resolution of Complaint (non-waiver issue)
The individual, parent, or guardian must appeal to CBDD within 90 days of a denial or action.
Appeals can be mailed to Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 2040 US Highway 50, Batavia, OH 45103.
The Director will investigate the appeal, including meeting with the filer.
Within 15 days of receiving an appeal, the director will provide a written or, if needed, oral report and decision.
Services won’t be changed until the appeal process is complete if requested by the effective date of the action.
If dissatisfied with the director’s decision, an appeal to the superintendent can be requested within 10 days.
The Superintendent/designee will meet with the requester and conduct a review within 10 days of receiving an appeal.
Within 15 days, the Superintendent provides a formal written decision and detailed next steps.
If dissatisfied with the Superintendent, a written appeal can be filed with the CBDD Board within 10 days.
The Board holds a hearing within 20 days at a convenient time and place.
Within 15 days of the hearing, the Board’s decision and rationale are sent by certified mail to the individual or representative.
If dissatisfied with the Board, a written appeal can be filed with the Ohio DODD Director within 15 days.
The Director or designee reviews the appeal within 45 days of receiving the county board hearing transcript, exhibits, and decision.
Within 14 days of the Department review, the Director’s written decision and rationale are provided to all parties.
