Community Relations

The Community Relations Department serves as a vital connection between Clermont DD and the Clermont County community. Through outreach, communication, volunteer coordination, recreational programming, and fundraising efforts, the department helps strengthen awareness, engagement, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Community Outreach & Communication

While communication is a responsibility shared throughout the agency, the Community Relations Department acts as the primary liaison between Clermont DD and the public. The department ensures that community members remain informed about programs, services, and important agency updates.

• Disability Awareness Curriculum trainings for schools and community groups

Team members actively participate in community events, including the Clermont County Fair and other local outreach opportunities, helping answer questions and distribute valuable information about Clermont DD services.

Volunteer Coordination

Volunteers play an important role in supporting Clermont DD programs and services. The Community Relations Department recruits, supervises, and coordinates more than 250 volunteers each year who contribute their time, knowledge, and talents to assist staff and individuals served by the agency.

Community Activities & Events

The department also creates, organizes, and supervises a wide variety of social and recreational activities that take place throughout the community. These programs encourage inclusion, engagement, and enjoyable experiences for participants each month.

Fundraising & Community Support

Although Clermont DD receives support through local tax dollars and state and federal funding, the Community Relations Department also oversees fundraising initiatives. These efforts help provide additional financial support for programs, services, and opportunities that may not otherwise be possible through traditional funding sources.
