Commissioner Proclamation Presentation

The Clermont County Commissioners proclaimed October “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” during their regular session on September 21.  Scott Baker accepted the proclamation on behalf of Clermont DD.

Scott was employed by Kroger Anderson for 15 years when he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an Activity Aide.  He had always wanted to be part of an organization where he could use positivity, exercise, and socializing to help others enjoy a healthier lifestyle.  When a position as an Activity Aide became available at Anthology Senior Living in Anderson Township, he applied and was hired.  His new journey began earlier this year, and Scott is enjoying every minute of it.  Residents and staff alike enjoy his classes and are so glad he is part of their team.

Accompanying Scott at the podium was Dan Ottke, Clermont DD Superintendent.  Additionally, Scott Brown and Amber Ramsey of Clermont DD’s Community Employment Services Department attended as well.  Scott’s parents were in the audience to cheer him on.

Scott is featured this month in Southwest Ohio Parent Magazine to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

We congratulate Scott on his success and wish him all the best for a bright new future at Anthology!
